Communing

So much of life is about communing, about gathering, about growing, exploring, searching, finding, going in over your head and expanding, about getting lost and coming back.

About inflating the lungs and deflating, about not holding on and sometimes not letting go. It is about enjoying not buying. Enjoying simplicity - the snow, the calls of nature, the seasons, the journey. Enjoying not understanding, enjoying understanding then the circle back to confusion.

Being a part of the ride, floating on the waves,  getting tossed around. Being washed ashore, drying out and stepping back into the waters.

The knowing that it doesn't need to look a certain way and that its okay to fall, to falter, to fall for, to stay close to the ground for however long needed. This new year is a reminder to not rush. Sometimes I ask, where are we going anyway?
