A retreat at Hope Springs Institute honoring the rhythms of Mother Earth and our own inner flight. A freeing and expansive spring retreat surrounded in the fields, woodlands, prairies and wildflowers in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Peebles, Oh. For woman and femmes.
with her, we have everything we need in body, in mind, in spirit. let us meet by the fire, the meadow, under the moonlight, by the sycamore tree, in the setting sun, next to the wildflower's upturned petals and on land where each footstep touches the sacred -
~All offerings are optional and are loosely structured to allow for the flow of the weekend and for the influence of the summer winds ~
* Honoring the element of the wind, expansiveness, the migration of the birds and the animal world as well as our own migrations in life journey
*The song birds will be settling into their summer homes at the end of their migration and we will enjoy the different ways to identify them using song, size, color pattern and behaviour on the sacred at Hope Springs which rests on 130 acres of protected forest and prairie including 3 ponds. No prior knowledge of birding needed.
*A night hike on the search for owls who live on the property under the full moon
*Enjoying the butterflies, frogs, mushrooms, wildflowers and moths of spring
*An easy going migratory birding hike will be offered in the forest and sun filled prairies of the Arc of Appalachia Nature Preserve - a 3,000 acre wildland where we will enjoy the beautiful scenery, plants, animals and birds we encounter
*Sacred feminine rhythm - Earth honoring songs and Yogic Indian chants will be shared in sacred circle througout our time together
*Free time to explore, campfires, night walks, hot tub under the strawberry full moon energy
*Sound baths lead by Stacey Pickering
*Sacred Song and Ecotherapy lead by Rebecca Wohlever
*Deeply restful yoga
*Tapping into our own wild nature
*Rest and as much quiet as you are called to
Join in what invokes you. Birding in the woods and prairies of the Arc of Appalachia, spaciousness and rest, community, contemplation, star gazing, slow walks, fires, quiet, laying in the field under the full moon, time to work on your own art form, writing, music, etc. The great Serpent Mound and small museum is close by as well if you are interested in going to visit in during your stay in the area
The meals at Hope Springs are deeply nourishing and are made with love, local foods and mindfulness. Dietary restrictions are honored. You have full accommodations including all retreat offerings, food, yoga mats, props, towels, linens and robes
You are invited to arrive anytime after 2pm on Thursday. Our time together will begin in the studio at 4:00pm with dinner following. We wrap up at noon around Sunday with no rush to leave right away. If you need to leave earlier you can take some food to go.
